Sharon sent the following e-mail out Tuesday afternoon. Continued prayer as she recovers from the surgery is greatly appreciated. (more…)
Sharon’s Recovery Takes a Turn
Thanks for those who have expressed their thoughts and prayers concerning Sharon’s surgery.
Sharon is back in the hospital tonight. She was released on the 15th, two days after having thyroid surgery. Over the last couple of weeks, she has had trouble breathing. At a follow-up appointment yesterday, the doctor was not pleased with the breathing difficulties. (more…)
Update on Sharon’s Thyroid Surgery
Thanks to all who have been keeping Sharon in their thoughts and prayers. Sharon had her thyroid surgery yesterday and just before noon was released from the O.R.
We are thankful to be able to report that all indications are that everything went wonderfully well. While the lump was a little bit larger than the doctors had expected, they only had to remove part of the thyroid as the lump turned out to be benign. To relieve another concern, all of Sharon’s nerves, vocal cords, etc., were isolated and with no indication of damage.
Plans were for Sharon to be discharged today, but she is having some difficulty breathing, so Brad is having them keep her tonight as well.
M.S. Gets a Week
This is one of those rare moments that you get to hear from the webmaster. With Mom’s thyroid surgery coming up, the last thing she needed to worry about was writing some thoughts on Multiple Sclerosis. While this post is a little later than I wanted it to be, hopefully it’ll still be of use to someone.
Blogging along,

I figured there had to be one, but like so many other awareness periods, you don’t hear about it until the time to be aware of whatever it is. Granted some things seem to be obscure and you wonder why we have to be aware of Issue X on this particular day, week or month, and who chooses when we get to be aware of said issue and not another issue that may be just as worthy of our attention? Sharon on Her Upcoming Surgery
When Sharon had her neck surgery last summer, a lump was discovered in her thyroid. At the time, it was benign enough that the doctors didn’t need to take it out right then, but to be cautious, they did want to observe it. They have observed and come to the conclusion that it must be removed.
Following is an e-mail that Sharon sent to friends and family Friday afternoon. (more…)

Just a quick note to update you on some important information:
- We now have a new domain name, circuitridersofcodywy.net The dot com expired, and unknown to us, over the process of time was picked up by another company. We have been unable to contact the new owner, so we registered a new domain name. Anyone that’s gone through a domain loss knows how we feel, and we know how you feel.
- This fall we are looking at a major change to the website overall. Stay tuned for details.
- Circuit Riders have a Facebook page! If you’re on the popular social networking site, why not become a fan of the Circuit Riders on Facebook?
- For our praying friends out there, continue to keep Sharon in your prayers. She has recovered well from her surgery last summer, which we praise the Lord for. However, in the days and weeks to come she will have to undergo another surgery to remove a lump from her thyroid.

Website Makeover
Howdy and welcome to the new website of the Circuit Riders! The old site has been static for a while, partly due to the difficulty in updating things that go across the entire site (headers and such)–had to be done page by page, and on dial-up, that is time consuming! You fellow webmasters know what I mean. So, after gaining some experience with my own personal blog on WordPress, I thought why not make updating the site as easy as blogging? So, here it is!
One item of interest is that the new and improved site features a blog (Along the Trail, formerly a regular page named Printing Press on the old site) and you can subscribe on RSS to follow any updates.
We’ve not officially re-launched yet, but be looking for it in the weeks to come! In the mean time, feel free to look around here (just be careful while we’re under construction)!
Ridin’ along,
Scott the Kid
